Course format

This workshop will be delivered on-site at the business incubator INiTS in Vienna.     

Lecturers

Endri Deliu (AI Fellow, University of Vienna and EuroCC Austria) 

Endri comes from an extensive experience as an AI architect, Principal Architect and Chief Architect from large tech companies in Silicon Valley. He advised executive leaders of large technology companies and other organisations on how to build roboust AI systems for 15 years. Today, he supports EuroCC Austria in adapting the existing supercomputing infrastructure for AI and assists startups in implementing their AI projects.

Simeon Harrison (Trainer, VSC Research Center, TU Wien and EuroCC Austria) 

Simeon works at the competence centre EuroCC Austria to disseminate expertise in the fields of supercomputing, big data and artificial intelligence in Austria and Europe. He specialises in providing training in deep learning and machine learning for beginners to advanced level. He has conducted dozens of successful courses and workshops based at the Vienna Scientific Cluster and in cooperation with leading European training centres.

Guest speaker: Sabine T. Köszegi (professor of labour science at TU Wien and member of the Austrian UNESCO Council on Ethics of AI)

Sabine Köszegi has twenty years of experience in interdisciplinary research at the intersections of technology, work, and organization and published more than 100 peer reviewed papers. Together with her team she develops technology support for conflict resolution and negotiation, analyzes aspects of the New World of Work, as well as the impact of Robotics and AI an work environments, within socio-technical systems and on society in general.

Guest speaker: Monica Rotulo (AI Advisor, SURF and EuroCC Netherlands)

Monica is a Machine Learning technical advisor at SURF with a PhD in Applied Mathematics. Her primary focus is on AI for Science, where she advocates for and facilitates the integration of machine learning and deep learning within the fields of science and engineering. She also supports the competence center EuroCC Netherlands in assisting SMEs in developing their AI projects.
